With regards to above mentioned subject and below planning, we have noted that there has been little confirmations for attendance by the Municipalities.
We understand and acknowledge that it is a timing thing, not a lack of interest towards this task. As a result of the timing we have had no other option but to re-schedule this session to dates that we can get a larger number of Municipalities to this workshop. We believe and anticipate that this workshop will assist in a smooth year end, chart changes and adherence to new legislations transition.
Munsoft will provide venue, lunch and snacks for the workshop, the Municipality will have to provide for own travel and accommodation.
The attendees we wish to target is the officials involved in Financial year end procedures with the focus on the preparation of the AFS.
The workshop is re-scheduled to: 6th until 7th of June 2018 in Centurion.
The purpose of the workshop is to go through the following;
- Preparation for year-end.
- Raising of accruals.
- The practicality of an automatic year-end as required by circular 80.
- After year-end transactions, to name some but not limited to these;
- Cash book reversals
- Creditor payment reversals
- Credit notes
- Fixed asset corrections
- Journals relating to previous financial year
- 13th , 14th and 15th period.
