RE – OUTSTANDING S71 MONTHLY RETURNS
On the 16th of October 2017 National Treasury sent out an email communication to all municipalities requesting them to submit their statutory electronic S71 monthly returns by COB on 28th of October 2017 in order to comply and qualify for your equitable share.
Subsequently, National Treasury requested municipal system vendors on the 23rd of October 2017 to make contact with their clients as non-compliance could affect your equitable share in December 2017.
Should your municipality require assistance to generate the S71 reports, you can contact Munsoft Consulting ([email protected]) and request assistance for this municipal function. This consulting will be done remotely at a cost to the municipality on a monthly basis until such time as the municipality can resume or take over this reporting function.
The consulting time required to generate the S71 reports is three working days. This will cost the municipality R60 000 (Sixty Thousand Rand) per reporting cycle.
