Munsoft Matters: Munsoft’s technology refresh and menu re-structure

Dear Client

As part of the Munsoft technology refresh, we have also taken the opportunity to restructure some of the menus to improve access and facilitate a better user experience.

To maintain correct user menu access, it is important that access is reviewed BEFORE the technology refresh.

In our review of menu access, it became evident that access, and more specifically the removal of menu access was not always done in the correct way.  It was noted that some users have the main menu access removed, but still have access to the sub-menus. Should this not be corrected, such users will have access to the sub-menus after the technology refresh and menu restructure.

Example:
Operator QAT’s access to the Registers menu (main menu) was removed, however, the sub-menu access was not removed.

In the above example, access to all the sub-menus (and their sub-menus) must be removed to ensure that the user does not have access to those menus after the technology refresh.
To assist with the menu access review process, we have introduced a new report to assist system administrators to correct access where needed. The report will indicate where a user has sub-menu access, but no access to the main menu.

This report can be accessed on the menu path:
Supervisor --> 03. ICT System Admin --> 03. Securities --> 12. Opr Menu Access

Kind Regards,
