Vacancy - Solutions Manager - July 2022

Solutions Manager is an influential and client facing role, whose main focus is to build credibility with the client, both for the proposed solutions and Munsoft. Role Reports directly to the Chief Marketing & Sales Officer and forms part of the Sales Leadership Team.

The Solutions Manager is responsible to develop a vision for the product based on input from internal stakeholders, customers, market research and their own industry insight. The Solutions Manager will work closely with the Product Development and other teams to deliver products that align with this vision, meet market needs and are delivered to a consistently high-quality standard. The Solutions Manager will develop a forecast for the product based on input from marketing, sales, market analysts and their own experience and manage its delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Development of client-specific solutions for a wide and complex requirement that can require non-standard solutions and therefore a special degree of creativity, strategic decisions and a systematic approach to the creation of solutions with the assistance from the Product Development team 
  • Assist with the go to market strategy and plan, as well as serve as a valuable enabler to close business in our current client base by leveraging relationships
  • Responsible for the development of a product solution strategy regarding current, intermediate, and future mode of operations including the migration approach to achieve the company vision
  • Ensuring all aspects of the solution are aligned to the operations strategy
  • Overall management of clients requirements and traceability to the solution
  • Overall responsibility for determining the solution costs in conjunction with the Business Development Manager BDM
  • Overall responsibility for the definition and management of solution risks, including impact on cost model and transition
  • Manage product profitability and commercial success – own the business case
  • Assist with the creation of client presentations for solution related topics
  • Strategically advise with coordination and the submission of professional tender responses, proposals and quotes
  • Collaborate with Operations team and contribute to the ERP Technology strategy when appropriate
  • Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets
  • Leading solution team during client meetings
  • Engage with new client management team & business development management and ensure the company is well represented in engagements such as demos and
  • presentations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the clients' efficiencies through the introduction of additional product & service offerings
  • Coordination and oversight of Third-Party Providers for solution components with Partner Manager

Requirements:

  1. Degree/National Diploma in Business/Accounting/ Administration or related field
  2. Proven track record as a product manager, commercial or a relevant role
  3. More than 5years experience in ERP Technology
  4. Ability to influence and build credibility across all levels with collaborative relationships
  5. Good understanding of the Local Government landscape and the ICT systems
  6. Good understanding of the Municipal Standard Chart of Accounts (mSCOA), beneficial
  7. Well-connected in Public Sector, and experience negotiating at an executive level with good communication skills
  8. Self-starter able to prioritize given responsibilities and problem solving skills
  9. Strong organizational and planning skills with an ability to work under pressure & tight deadlines
  10. Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask in non-routine environment
  11. Strong ICT Solution and business skills.
  12. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  13. Experienced in regional people management, team-oriented, able to communicate efficiently internally to ensure full buy-in
  14. Ability to travel
