We take note of the communication that was sent by the National Treasury regarding the submission of 2019/20 Budgets that are not funded including the process for correction.
The National Treasury has sent a communique, and the deadline is on 11 November 2019 for the Special Adjustment Budget to be re-adopted by the Council and submitted to the National Treasury to take the necessary adjustments into account.
If this is applicable to your municipality, we would like to recommend for necessary adjustments on the budget to be completed as soon as possible in order to submit the 2019/20 ADJB Data strings and B-Schedule by due-date.
Please be informed that failure to submit the Special 2019/20 Adjustment Budget by due-date could result in funds not being allocated to the municipality.
