Valuation Roll Reconciliation It is critical to compare the valuation roll data to that of the billing system to ensure that revenue anticipated from property rates are realistic. The list of exceptions derived from this reconciliation will provide an indication of where the municipality may be compromising its revenue generation in respect of property rates. A further test would be to reconcile this with the deeds office registry. This reconciliation should be undertaken quarterly. MFMA Circular 93/107
